Add ingredients to cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into rocks glass, garnish with lemon twist, or better, a small slice of fresh ginger.

Hot Toddy Classic

2 oz rum, brandy, bourbon, Irish whiskey, or scotch (I prefer rum.)

5 oz boiling water

1 T honey (or 1 t sugar)

1 lemon slice (or 1/2 t lemon juice)

Cinnamon to taste

Bring water to boil. Add all other ingredients. Inhale before imbibing.

Now that you’ve had a meal with friends, you should relax with a drink. I have no idea what to call this drink, but one weekend me, Kyle Johnson, and Doug Warrick conducted a series of experiments involving vodka-related drinks. This is the recipe (from what we’ve been able to piece together from our collectively cobbled-together memory) of our main drink.

In a tall glass add:

1 oz vodka, either Whipped Cream or Cake

1 oz sweet ’n’ sour mix

Fill the rest of the glass with ginger ale
